Zoning Meeting TONIGHT!

At 7PM on Zoom, join the WSWCA Zoning Committee meeting for a second presentation for 308 Quince Street.

The applicant presented to the WSWCA zoning committee in July and the zoning committee recommended opposition to the proposed change of use. The WSWCA board voted to oppose the change of use and we made the applicant aware of our decision. The applicant has requested to present to the committee again now that they have a better understanding of the community concerns

Be a good to your community. Pick up debris in front of your home or apartment. If you need assistance with excessive trash, contact 311.

Do not place trash out until 7PM the night before or after 5:30AM the day of pick up. Taking pride in our neighborhood is the first step in making it an amazing place to live.

Support Our Public School

Support your community by supporting your local public school!

Public schools are not just educational institutions, they are community institutions. Having a strong, award-winning public school like McCall attracts families that care about the quality of life of their neighbors and about the success of local small businesses. Support your community. Click here to donate to the McCall Annual Fund today and help McCall maintain its streak of excellence.

Neighborhood Community Gardens

Portland Loo Coming Soon…

Philadelphia is launching a pilot program within the next year to address its dearth of public restrooms, which has only gotten worse.

Six permanent toilets will be installed across Philly over the next five years, starting with one in Center City. The restrooms will be ADA accessible, using a popular design called the “Portland Loo.” Read more here.

Protect the migrating birds

August 15 – November 15

As millions of birds swing through Philly during fall migration, many get killed flying into buildings. The city is urging building owners, tenants, businesses and residents to join together to prevent night-time bird collisions.

Visit Lights Outs to find out how you can help.

Mail in Ballots Delayed

Due to the addition of City Council special election, Philadelphia voters will now have a shorter window to receive and return ballots for this year’s general elections for US Senate, governor and more. Therefore, if you are choosing to vote by mail-in ballot, be sure to return it quickly upon receiving it.
