His passion for urban horticulture guided an expansion of the tree canopy in Wash West and helped secure the future of our community gardens. While serving as president of the Association from 2017 through 2019 he initiated programs to bring public art onto the sidewalks. Rick currently chairs the Committee on Urban Stewardship.
Monthly Public Safety Meeting (Canceled)

Public Safety Meeting:
PSA 3, 6th Police District
Public Safety Meetings are
canceled until further notice.
The map above shows the location and type of reported crimes over the past seven days in our neighborhood. We bring this to your attention as a reminder to be alert and mindful of your surroundings. Malfunctioning/Overflowing Solar Belly?

Do you see an overflowing or malfunctioning Solar Belly while walking around Wash West? It’s up to us as residents to report these to 3-1-1. If you’re using the 3-1-1 mobile app, submit reports under the Illegal Dumping category, note the address, and answer a few questions. Include an image for a more thorough report.
The 3-1-1 app can also be used to report abandoned bikes, unsafe sidewalk conditions, street light outages, and even graffiti. See the links below:

The Plastic Club
While The Plastic Club’s building was closed due to the Coronavirus quarantine, their exhibition schedule resumed online in June with a look at recent and past work by member Sam Dion, of Roxborough.
Over a prolific lifetime as an artist, Dion made illustrations for magazines, newspapers, advertising agencies, fashion labels, pharmaceuticals, and album covers before turning full-time to his beloved landscape and portrait painting.
