Click the map for a full size map of proposed historic district boundary.

Over the last 12 months, the WSW Civic has been hosting community conversations to explore, learn and communicate the preservation challenges, needs, and venues available to organizations like ours to promote the preservation of properties with historical value and WSW’s historic character. Haven’t made it to all the conversations? No problem, all the videos are posted on our website here.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

AND RESOURCES

Protect the migrating birds

As millions of birds swing through Philly during spring migration, many get killed flying into skyscrapers. The city is urging people and businesses in high-rises to shut off your lights at night.

Are you a history buff with an interest in medical publishing?

The Historical Society of PA is hosting a conversation about book and journal publishing from 150 years ago to today. Philadelphia-based Lippincott was a leader in literary and medical publishing in the late 1800s. Sign up here for the Wednesday April 27th conversation.

Dining Out for Life – Philadelphia

Support Action Wellness’ effort to support those living with HIV in Philadelphia. Make dinner plans on Thursday April 28 at any of the 50+ restaurants participating in the annual fundraiser, and you could eat well and support your neighbors and fellow citizens who need your support. Find out more.
