Interested in learning more about historic preservation of our neighborhood?

Check out the conversations the Civic’s preservation task force has been hosting about the topic on our website here. You can find the 2011 Nomination at that link, along with other conversations about the topic. Although last week’s meeting is not yet uploaded to the page, it can be found on the Civic’s Facebook page.

Have you tried the Philly 311 app?

It’s so easy to report graffiti, overflowing trash cans, potholes and more using the City’s free 311 app. No need to sit on the phone waiting. Snap a pic, add a note and upload with address. Visit the App Store and Google Play to download the app. The City has stepped up their response times and it’s a game changer! Help keep our community clean by reporting issues.

The Philly Tree Plan: A Conversation With A City About Relationships to Trees

Thursday, April 21 @ 10 am ONLINE

The Philly Tree Plan is an urban forestry strategic plan that centers the perspectives of Philadelphia residents to bring the benefits of trees to communities that need them the most, in the ways that support them the best. The design team worked in partnership with the City to reach over 8,000 residents using a variety of engagement tools. Leaders of Hinge Collective will share their process for developing strategies that focus on personal narratives at a city-wide scale and how these narratives shape strategic planning. More information on the speakers can be found on the Design Advocacy Group’s website. Registration is required for the event. You can register for the event HERE.

We loved meeting and seeing so many of our neighbors at our first Plant Exchange of the year! We look forward to more opportunities to connect!
