COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

AND RESOURCES

Pet Vaccine Clinic

Morris Animal Refuge are excited to announce we will be hosting a Free Pet Vaccine Clinic as a part of our Philly Pets Program. The goal of this clinic is to improve the status of animal welfare across the city.

Reducing the financial cost of an owned animal has the dual benefit of preventing surrenders and improving the overall health and welfare of owned animals in the region

Preparing Your Garden for Fall

When the seasons change, the garden must too. Fall is here, and as warm temperatures drop and cool weather sets in, there are plenty of opportunities to work in your garden!

Find out tips here.

McCall School fundraiser

McCall HSA has lots of creative fundraising efforts underway.  Here’s another way to support the local award winning public school, while providing something on your shopping list.

Linvilla Pies can be ordered here.

Define Art, History & Storytelling

The City of Philadelphia is developing a pilot program to broaden how we define art, history, and storytelling in our city.

The survey begins with inviting community members and leaders to help identify themes and issues. This will inform the framework we use to identify the cultural resources that tell a rich and inclusive story of PhiladelphiaTake the Survey here.

Student Loan Forgiveness

The US Government is accepting applications to help refine the processes ahead of the official form launch. If you submit an application, it will be processed when the form officially launches, and you won’t need to resubmit.

Completing the application takes less than 5 minutes, and you don’t need to log in or provide any documents. Sign up here.

Linens for Morris Animal Refuge

Linens are essential in making pups feel comfortable at the shelter! If you have any old sheets, blankets or towels, please consider donating them to the shelter.

You can drop off donations at our locations any day of the week between 11am and 4pm.

Read more here.

Day of the Dead

Fleisher Art invites you to the tenth anniversary of the Day of the Dead at Fleisher, organized by La Calaca Flaca (Skinny Skeleton) on October 29. On this special day, join the community in a procession through South Philadelphia, which ends with a celebration at Fleisher!

Free Food to Residents

Philadelphia is providing free food for residents. Call 311 or visit phila.gov/food to find food and meals in your neighborhood. No ID or proof of income is required.
